Software Engineer Intern, Growth Funding

Chime is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our funding team. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology distributed systems in product engineering space alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.

• Work on projects which impacts Chime members and business
• Learn and execute projects under a mentor
• Get exposure to a real engineering team from design inception to launch
• Get exposure to working in fintech
• Design, develop, test, refactor, and scale backend implementations of new and existing consumer product features
• Work with the mobile team & designers to design and build strong, resilient APIs that power the member-facing mobile app

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Creative thinker and self-starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
• Are flexible and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
• Have a low ego and are comfortable working directly well with a wide range of stakeholders

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
