Mobile Product Manager

The Mobile Product Manager owns the company’s mobile strategy and executes projects that drive Treehouse’s mobile applications to support overall company goals. Reports to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), and works with Development and Design Managers to ensure that the mobile team has the direction, creative energy, support and resources to deliver exceptional and pedagogically effective mobile experiences for Treehouse students.

Starting salary: $115,000-$125,000

• Develop key performance indicators for mobile products that advance company goals, such as student retention and engagement, effective learning outcomes, and increased enrollment
• Conceive amazing mobile experiences for Treehouse stakeholders, and ship applications that deliver on your vision
• Regularly evaluate Treehouse’s mobile strategy and products to uncover areas for optimization and improvement, identify projects that solve weaknesses and advance strengths
• Set mobile product development strategy, presenting potential projects and opportunities to CPO and other Executive team members
• Work collaboratively with other Product teams to make sure the mobile strategy is operating in concert with the rest of the Product
• Benchmark Treehouse’s mobile products against the competitive landscape and top tier mobile products; willfully endeavor to make Treehouse’s mobile apps best-in-class

• Experience in the field of product management for mobile app development or equivalent experience in a similar field. We are generally requiring 5+ years of experience but care more about quality of experience than quantity; if you have fewer years of experience be sure to let us know how you can demonstrate the competencies we seek.
• Exceptional product and project management skills, including assessing stakeholder needs, allocating team resources, monitoring deadlines, documenting progress, and following up with responsible parties and stakeholders
• Proven success in working with and motivating a diverse, remote team
• Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, humble, collaborative
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, even in a constantly changing, lean, ambiguously defined operating environment
• Highly collaborative, able to develop effective relationships across the organization and build alignment and integration with projects
• Demonstrated willingness to take risks and state personal opinions even when facing opposition
  
• Ability to create open channels of communication, create impact without direct authority, and achieve collaborative buy-in
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to lead meetings and set agendas
  
• Ability to problem solve, motivate others, and work under pressure and deadlines
