For this project, we'll be creating a logo
basically in one sitting.
0:00
This is an exercise I like to perform
quite frequently for a number of reasons.
0:04
One, it allows me to pick a design
direction right away.
0:09
Second, I can create the project very
quickly.
0:12
So let's take a look, at what the logo
sprint process looks like.
0:16
Now, our first step is already taken care
of.
0:20
We already know the logo brief.
0:22
It's essentially, we're creating a logo
for a simple task manager app called odot.
0:24
Now from there, we're gonna do mine
mapping.
0:29
Now the way mine mapping works, is I'll
take, say a word like,
0:31
task, and then generate a list of
descriptive words that
0:35
break off of each word as they go out from
this centralized word, which is task.
0:39
Then, from that list of descriptive words,
I'm gonna start sketching.
0:45
Once I feel I've narrowed down, the
sketches in the direction I'm going in
0:49
with the logo, I'll then bring them into
Illustrator and perfect the layout.
0:54
Then finally, when I've narrowed it down
to one final design, it's time to deliver.
0:58
And to do that, I'll just save out all of
the color values, and black and
1:03
white layout, and color layout, so I can
use it as a reference in the future
