Storyboarding Solution1:32 with Megan Amendola
Follow this walk-through solution to the productivity app storyboarding challenge.
Welcome back. 0:00 Were you able to create a storyboard? 0:02 If not, no worries. 0:04 I will walk you through the storyboard I created. 0:05 Here the six panels I created. 0:08 As you can see, I use photos from Unsplash instead of creating the drawings by hand. 0:11 I'm not much of an artist and so I decided to use photos so 0:17 I could focus on the storyboard instead of my stick figures. 0:21 If you created your panels by hand, then that's awesome. 0:25 Always feel free to adjust a task to fit your needs or style. 0:29 In the first panel, I put in an image of James feeling frustrated about the fact 0:33 that he's having some trouble keeping track of his tasks. 0:38 In the second panel, 0:41 James' team is discussing how to improve their productivity and efficiency. 0:42 In the third panel, the team starts to use the app to help keep track of their tasks. 0:48 The fourth panel, the team is now using the app to keep track of 0:54 all of their tasks and staying up to date. 0:57 In the fifth panel, 1:00 James now has time at the end of the day to work on creative projects. 1:01 And in the six panel, James is getting a raise. 1:07 Nice work, James. 1:10 I use problems and needs from James's persona to help create a story 1:13 about how a productivity app would benefit him. 1:17 Creating a storyboard helps to keep your persona in mind and 1:19 think about how your product will affect the lives of your users. 1:24 I hope you enjoyed our practice session. 1:28 Happy designing. 1:30
