User Authentication with ASP.Net Identity0:48 with James Churchill
At earlier Treehouse content,
we saw how ASP.Net can be use to create web based data-driven applications.
But these applications were missing a critical feature, user authentication.
User Authentication gives us a way to identify our users.
Once we know our users identity,
we can associates specific data with that specific user.
And track what they do within our application.
We can also control what a user can and
cannot do in our application based upon their identity.
In this course, you'll learn how to leverage user to secure an application,
and protect your user's data.
As you update the Fitness Frog web app,
you'll implement cookie-based authentication.
And see how to support user registration and sign-in, sign-out.
