I am not being taken to the 404 error page

I am not being taken to the 404 error page for some reason when I click on the "Sign In" button. When I view the page request in Chrome dev tools it is completely blank. I know this means there is no request being sent but all of my code looks identical to Sir Craig. Any ideas or suggestions as to how I might resolve this issue?
