I think i did it right.

CREATE TABLE members ( id INT PRIMARY KEY, first_name, last_name, favorite_rock_id REFERENCES rocks(id) );

This code looks OK to me, so to test it I tried pasting it in as-is for task 3 and it passed the challenge.
