JavaScript jQuery Basics (2014) Creating a Mobile Drop Down Menu Perform: Part 1

I set the value of <option> using attr() in jquery?

While experimenting with code I wanted to know if I could use:

var $link=$anchor.attr("href"); $option.attr("value", $link);

instead of: $option.val($anchor.attr("href"));

It's not working so I wanted to know what I was doing wrong.

These two alternatives look like they would do exactly the same thing.

I even tried testing them and they performed identically. Perhaps there's something elsewhere in your code?

Haha yes it was! (Silly mistakes) Thanks a lot!
