Python Web Development Techdegree Student 12,676 Points../ is not taking me back up one level as expected when using an anchor
Hello, I'm going through the lessons on anchors and the instruction on the video advises me to use ../ to have the browser go up one level to find the file. In my case this is not what is happening and I'm getting the error message "This webpage is not found"
Here is my code:
<a href="../index.html"> Go Back to first page</a>
This index file is saved on my desktop and the file from which I'm making this call is save in my_directory folder. In case it helps, here is the line of code for the anchor on the index.html file.
<a href="my_directory/anotherpage.html" > My Link </a>
