Well, when we're talking about graphical interpretation, answer pipe is correct. Here however, they're asking for Javascript meaning, so for example:
a > 5 || a < 3
In plain English you'd spell that a is greater than 5 or less than 3 rather than a is greater than 5 pipe less than 3
