Your mistake was creating the instance within the definition of your class:

class Student:
    name = "Tom"

me = Student()
print(me.name)

This defines the class Student and then sets the name attribute. Outside of it we create an instance and print out the attribute by using a ., hope this makes sense

thank you so much
