a for loop??

How can I answer that question, there is nothing said about for loops

functions.py
# add_list([1, 2, 3]) should return 6
# summarize([1, 2, 3]) should return "The sum of [1, 2, 3] is 6."
# Note: both functions will only take *one* argument each.

OK I know that, and I look the video again, but there is nothing that says how to use a for loop

what does the question want you to do

for blank in blank: blank(such as print)

You're right, there isn't anything in the previous video about for loops. We did for loops back a chapter or so in the Shopping List project.
