A line of code $product["sizes"] = array();

While following Randy Hoyt's lesson on: Displaying Shirt sizes. I am getting a little confused with a line of code: $product["sizes"] = array(); what does this actually do?

Does it create a new array from the sizes array?

Hi Ben,

I believe this line is to initialize product["sizes"] as an empty array, so that the query result of "SELECT size FROM product_sizes" can be stored in $product["sizes"].
