When doing challenges its best not to add stuff they arent asking for like extra details. Sometimes extra stuff will make it wrong.

In this case, they wanted you store the fullname from the user & store the value:

var fullName = prompt("What is your full name?");

//Select Input with the id of #fullName $("#fullName").val(fullName);

When selecting an item by id, you just make a string putting a # in front of the id (like you would in CSS), then wrap that string in a JQuery call ($()).

Then, they want you to use the .val() function to set the value of that JQuery object using the fullName variable.

Cindy provided the correct answer, but forgot to blockquote it. Here it is with the code quoting applied:

//Select Input with the id of #fullName
//Insert value in to full name input
 $("#fullName").val(fullName);
