HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Make It Beautiful With CSS Adding a Style to several Elements using Class

Add a class called "social-links" to each anchor tag.

I don't understand the question, and try a lot, it didn't work!

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>List Example</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css">
  </head>
  <body>

    <a href="#social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
    <a href="#">Send me an Email!</a>

  </body>
</html>
styles.css

Inside the anchor tags you will want to make a class attribute. From there you will want to make the class name "social-links", for example <a class="social-links" href="#">Follow me on Twitter!</a>. You don't need to put social links inside the href. Hope this helps!

It seems you are trying to create the class inside the href, whereas you should declare the class as shown below. You can then style the class "social-links" in your CSS stylesheet! Use the href to directly link to each social site.

<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>List Example</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css">
  </head>
  <body>

    <a href="#" class="social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
    <a href="#">Send me an Email!</a>

  </body>
</html>
.social-links {
    font-family: courier, courier-new, serif;
    font-size: 20pt;
    color: #6B6BD7;
}
