With mobile taking off why not add a course on customising Google Maps through the API facilities.

17,781 PointsThere used to be a course here for creating a dynamic website and it included using the Google Maps API but the content felt a bit more dictated rather than taught. It was replaced by some of the newer JavaScript courses. In the course road map it looks like there is another site for building an interactive site with JavaScript. Looks like Treehouse will be holding off on using an API though.
If a course was made using the Maps API and Google makes changes to its API, the course could immediately become outdated. This is a similar issue I ran into with the old Ruby on Rails track. When you rely on third-party software for tutorials, they might have a shorter usefulness lifespan (Not always but something to consider anyway). I personally like having courses that teach me concepts that I can apply to any project vs. focusing on a specific API or third-party library and then if I want to know something specific, there is always documentation available.
Have you tried exploring the Google Maps API documentation?

39,199 PointsThe course that Chris Dziewa alluded to is actually still in the Treehouse library(https://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-an-interactive-website). It was part of the Smells Like Bacon sequence which was removed from the track and is being replaced by other content.
2 of the 5 stages in that course focus on using the Google Maps API.

11,062 PointsThanks Chris and James for the advice. I'll check out the interactive course and go further with the Front end developers course and have a look at Google's Maps documentation and take it from there.
Cheers, Ian
