if (isAdmin) {
   message = 'Welcome admin';
} else if (isStudent) {
   message = 'Welcome student';

First of all, make sure your syntax is correct. It seems that you did a typo and got your ( with a {. Also the "isAdmin" and "isStudent" variables are already set to booleans as shown in your first two lines, so you don't have to type "false" anywhere.
