What you do is basically adding something from one list to an item in another list. the thing is an array called items and is located in the grocery_list. grocery_list is the hash. Hash defines how this kind of data storage is decleared. then you have .push which is basically the code that tells what to do with this information. and grocery list in the brakets is the thing that you want to put into the items array

grocery_list['items'].push(grocery_item)
