Adding disabled attribute using CSS

const $submit = $('.submit-btn');
$submit.attr('disabled', true);

Why didn't this disable the button in the challenge question? Also, do we need to set disabled to true as in HTML all you need to add is "disabled" without any values?

I know this question had to add the class "disabled" to disable the button.

Can you link to the challenge?

It's disabled, as in nothing happens when you click on it, but it doesn't look disabled, which is why we need to add the class to change the styling.

Aaah ok! Got it.
