After I have applied all the <optgroup>s and I refresh the page, my choices are all grayed out and it doesn't indicate which one is selected as it does in Nick's video. I'm assuming this is some CSS that he has applied and I don't. Does anyone have any ideas?

35,561 PointsI reviewed your code and all seems to be alright, so to confirm 100% I went to the videos and downloaded the lastest "Project Files", because these were not modified and the code is correct, there wasn't difference too. I think that the styles you see in the video (check mark for instance), are styles applied to the browser of the operation system (Mac) that Nick is using.
You can see an example here : https://qsnapnet.com/snaps/3otdj6wfwr60f6r
There is tiny diffrences between the browsers even in my sistem (Windows). - This page is the own Project File
