Development Tools Creating a User Pages Site

All this command line stuff...

...why wouldn't you use the GitHub Desktop app to do the file management and push updates and everything?

Is GitHub Desktop something new and this video is old? Or am I missing something?

Because to go outside of of your dev environment is time consuming. You can use Git desktop if you like. But if it’s just to avoid using the terminal, you’ll be cheating yourself out of a valuable skill that is required knowledge as a developer. Go slow, take it step by step and before you know it, you’ll be just as annoyed by having to leave the terminal 😎
