Hi ! You probably just didn't use the right variable when you called the join method. Try to use the list sundaes instead.

i am failing to get the concept here

what should i suppose to do

Alright, Here we used the split method in order to get all the different strings separated by a semicolon into a list. Then we use this same list in the join method in order to have the items now separated by ", " instead of a semicolon. You can simply do it this way :

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are:{}.".format(", ".join(sundaes))
