iOS Swift 2.0 Basics Swift Types Recap: Swift Types

Am I incorrectly using string interpolation?

It seems like this is a reasonable solution to solve this challenge(I know the Treehouse editor is picky), but what am I reading wrong in the problem in order to get it wrong? Thanks!

types.swift
let firstValue: Int = 93
let secondValue: Int = 157
let product: Int = firstValue * secondValue
let output: String = "The product of \(firstValue) times \(secondValue) is \(product)."

1 Answer

You are doing it just fine, it's just that the challenge wants something really specific and picky.

1) Don't explicitly declare type.

2) Don't put a period on the sentence.

let firstValue = 93
let secondValue = 157
let product = firstValue * secondValue
let output = "The product of \(firstValue) times \(secondValue) is \(product)"

Okay, Thanks!
