Am i really in the right track? (newbie question)

I just joined yesterday.. i don't really familiar with the interface yet actually i want to be a GAME DESIGNER for either huge gaming industry or apps not Game Dev/engineer tho. when i joined here they give me question "what would you want to focus?" so i gave the answer "Graphic Design".

here my few newbie question. -what does Game Designer actually require to learn? graphicdes or Coding?

-about the interface should i learn step by step depend what appears on my home? or i should pick whatever i want from the Track list? cus its too many choice on the track list, i'm confused which i should study first and which one i should actually study does it all?

-on my home page its shows about HTML does HTML education needed for Graphich designer?

THANKS a lot before.. i'm totally newbie.. sorry for the questions

I'll be honest, Treehouse might not be the best tool, but it's a good start and if you feel you outgrow here, you can pause your account to keep from paying.

With that said, check out the new game course. A very general answer to your general question is you probably should learn a few different 3D model programs and engines. I believe here they teach Unity https://unity3d.com/

You'll want to probably learn photoshop and illustrator, and have strong drawing skills, understand color theory, character design, etc.

Its when going down this path that Treehouse starts to have gaps, which is fine. They may expand into this uncharted water and become an excellent source for game designers. I suspect that might be a long term plan with their new release into game development.

Thank you so much for the answers! its really enlighten my path! lol

well yeah i thought so.. in past i actually study at computer science degree for awhile but i quit w/ not a singe lesson i've learned well at least i can learn a lot of basic here before i progress further more to unity3d because i'm totally blank about any programming language, coding, web designing which is also an addition for gaming industry career, especially gaming industry basic i don't really get it who did what, or what did which?

btw about the interface on the track list, do i need to study from top to bottom step by step wisely or i can pick whichever i want to learn? do they sort the list adjusting from the course that i choose to focus at the beginning?
