iOS Swift Basics (retired) Collections Modifying an Array

Am I writing the code correctly for inserting a new value into an array?

I have two questions. First, if "Debug App" is the third item on our list, wouldn't we refer to it as 2 on the index? The correct index number was 1 for removing it.

Now I'm trying to add a new item called "Learn iOS" to my array. This is what was written, I tried to go back to the video multiple times but I feel I'm writing it just as I was taught in the video.

var todo = ["Learn Swift", "Build App", "Deploy App"] todo.append("Debug App") todo.append("Fix Bugs") todo.removeAtIndex(1) let item = todo.removeAtIndex(1) todo.insert("Learn iOS", atIndex: 1)

I keep on getting the response of my "todo" variable has the incorrect value. Any assistance would be great.

Thank you,

Andrew

arrays.swift
var todo = ["Learn Swift", "Build App", "Deploy App"]
todo.append("Debug App")
todo.append("Fix Bugs")
todo.removeAtIndex(1)
let item = todo.removeAtIndex(1)
todo.insert("Learn iOS", atIndex: 1)

Hi Andrew!

Challenge Task 3 of 3 "Finally, we forgot to add that we need to learn iOS development prior to building an app. Insert a new item titled "Learn iOS" at the second position in the todo array." runs just fine with:

var todo = ["Learn Swift", "Build App", "Deploy App"]
todo.append("Debug App")
todo.append("Fix Bugs")
let item = todo.removeAtIndex(2)
todo.insert("Learn iOS", atIndex: 1)

You are right by referring to the third item with a 2 on the index...

...also you used removeAtIndex() twice by mistake.

I'm running into the same issue with the 3rd question.
