3,390 PointsI will not be so cruel with Pasan, but it's true he is going too fast 1) for a non-american 2) when you try to manipulate at the same time he does. He hits menus and buttons we are not familiar with too fast. I had to pause the video of go back hundred times.

3,461 PointsFor what it's worth, I also slowed down some of Pasan's videos to .75x. That by itself seemed to help me a lot, but I also agree with Aaron's idea of taking a "pencil's down" approach to viewing a step/concept heavy video so you can just focus and watch without worrying about mimicking the process.

1,534 PointsHey Aaron, am having so much trouble understanding the default code in swift, as he (pasan), does not give a clear explanation and guide me through what everything means. As i tend to ask myself whats going? why did he pick that code? why did he write it there ? The course stated it's a course for new iOS Learners the course seems to be meant for people who know objective c.

24,757 PointsI suggest reviewing the swift basics course again if you are having trouble with building the first iPhone app in swift.

24,757 PointsJeanne,
I found myself doing the very same thing during my first few courses at treehouse. What I did to help with this issues was to watch the video twice. The first time I would leave Xcode closed, and focus on the concepts. Then on during the second round I had a better idea of what he was doing an was able to following along. I would still need to pause the video a few times but .. not as much if I only watched it one time.
I hope this helps :)
Happy Coding!
