An so stuck here, may someone assist please.

After your newly created returnValue function, create a new variable named echo. Set the value of echo to be the results from calling the returnValue function. When you call the returnValue function, make sure to pass in any string you'd like for the parameter.

Here's a few hints: The function you create for task 1 should be left just as it is when you move onto task 2. All the task 2 work will be done outside of the function, though you will call your function as part of assigning the new variable.

It looks like you have a few errors.

  1. You have to create your variable outside of the function.
  2. You have a string in a function call that has started but not ended.
  3. You function is calling for an argument/parameter but you havent passed any through.
  4. You are calling the function a second time from within the function. This is called a recursive call and it will continue to run forever and ever. It means...everytime you call the function, it will call itself again, and call itself again, and call itself again...and so on...
  5. You are returning "game" but not actually doing anything with it. Its a little weird.

Im guessing that the following should pass, based on your instructions...

function returnValue(game) {
  return game;

}

var echo = returnValue("soccer" + "is cool");

^^>>I didnt do anything specific with "game" above but I didnt see in your instructions what it should do so this should work.
