So because the bundle that was posted on here didn't work for me I had to go to the actual google website to get the android developer kit, so in the AVD for eclipse (to begin with the only option is 4.4 not 4.1) It won't allow me to create a new AVD without selecting a device. I've got my Target set to 4.4 but I don't know what device to select, does it matter?

Treehouse TeacherIt does not matter! :) Select whichever you want. I usually pick one of the Nexus devices.

Treehouse TeacherHaha - just in time to be obsolete because of ART! :)

Treehouse TeacherMe neither! I've been using it since I got my Nexus 5. I can't say I noticed anything specific, though everything seems pretty smooth and snappy on it. Cool stuff, though.

30,286 PointsI can't extract the bundle: Windows 64 bit* (526 MB) from http://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-android-app/getting-started-with-android/android-setup-and-the-crystal-ball-project-2 Download -> Extract -> Error in extraction Is there anyway to get the links to the necessary files?

555 PointsI've downloaded both 64 and 32 bit versions, ran the 32 bit as confirmed by hardware type but I cannot get this IDE to run. Read the bit about ART ... fine time to start learning about Android development. I guess it may take a little more time for ART to hit mainstream. I decided to download ADT instead.

Treehouse TeacherI'm sorry you guys are having trouble. There have been more problems with our Windows bundle lately so I'll have to troubleshoot it. In the mean time, I would recommend switching to the bundle available from the Android Developer site. It's very much like ours with a few differences (because it's totally up-to-date). We talk about switching in this older Forum thread: https://teamtreehouse.com/forum/android-lesson-cant-run-initialsetupbat

1,711 PointsI went through this using 4.3 and 4.4. That won't matter, it has not effected anything for the lesson for me, since the methods you are learning (textViews, buttons, images, accelerometer) haven't changed much in a years.
Doesn't matter, as long as you use 4.1 and a device with a screen size that you can see.
