Hi,
I have installed the Android Studio. Every time I start this app it takes forever to start. It says at the bottom bar: Gradle: Build and nothing shows on the screen except for a circle moving around showing that something is running behind and I have to exit the program. Any help folks!

If you're referring to the emulator taking a while to start, that is a common problem. There are generally two options:
1) Use HAXM if you have a compatible Intel CPU on any OS, or an AMD CPU on Linux(might work on OSX, but I'm not a Apple person so I don't know off the top of my head). This would require running an X86 emulated android device. Make sure you have hardware virtualization enabled in the BIOS. You can find information on the install directions(for windows) here. For Linux, it should be as simple as just creating an X86 emulator.
2) Try Genymotion. Its another emulation program for Android devices that a lot of people find works better than the default emulator. You can get Genymotion here.

28,738 PointsHello,
Oh. In that case, its probably just trying to load resources, like Gradle, which have to download from the internet. Depending upon your connection, the connection of where the gradle plugins are housed, and your computer's speed, this could take a little while. Once this had done it the first time, it shouldn't need to do so again unless you change the gradle version you're using. Though it will have to ocassionally download new dependencies when you add them to your build.gradle files.
