android studio too slow, what i can do?

it took my computer a half hour to create the fun facts project, what i can do to make it faster??

Ulises, I toggled the screen size/dp for emulator from 5.0 to 4.0/96dp. It seems to compile each change much faster for me.

where are the settings to change this ... i seem to have a similar problem

There is an option with customization of the Emulator. It pertains to SIZE of the window and I believe pixel density, but I am not sure ("DP"). I will try to locate the exact path for you. Please let me if you were able to find it on your own in the SDK menu.

I was working on publishing my app and I found the exact location. It is the Emulator selection box. Select Emulator and a small box appears so that you can update/change win size and dp. Hope this helps you Winfred Namata.
