534 PointsAnother question, CSS before HTML?
Well, another from me and I hope you're not getting tired of the rather newbie questions, but what are your thoughts on CSS before HTML?
I accidentally started on the how to make a website and it looks like it focuses more on CSS, will this become a problem or should I not worry?
Thanks, Brad

5,568 PointsThe two are not mutually exclusive you will find that you learn them concurrently. To style the document you first need to understand what elements make up that document so it might be a good idea if you're not familiar with HTML at all to progress with that first rather than diving into some of the more complexities of CSS.

534 PointsThis course includes 7 stages of HTML and a lot of CSS, so that's good right?

5,568 PointsIn my experience the courses have been well planned and thought out for people who are completely new to this. I think you may be over thinking it, go with the course and see how you get on, you will know if you're getting the hang of it.

534 PointsI over think everything. I plan to take web-design as a career and want to do the best I can. It looks like I'm getting full marks on the questions and code tests, so I guess I'm doing pretty good?
Richard Duncan
5,568 PointsI don't think there's anything higher than full marks ;)

534 PointsOkay, thanks!

534 PointsSo you'd say CSS before HTML is okay?
Richard Duncan
5,568 PointsI'd say follow the course and see how you get on.

2,389 PointsJust do the work, the courses and have fun with it. Then start experimenting and creating your own basic sites and soon enough you will start hitting walls you are going to have to tear down. CSS and HTML go hand-in-hand and when you're really a beginner then just follow the courses here and try to do as much work as you can. Work work work work. Enjoy the ride.

534 PointsGood idea. I write all code down and then I rewrite it until I feel I'm perfect and remember it. I guess I'll just have to keep going and see how I go :)
Thanks!
