any hopes for a node.js module soon?

I was hoping this site would go further in depth on technologies surrounding JS, especially node. I commend the recent addition of ajax, but where is some of the essentials like angular.js for instance? I know these get mentioned on the treehouse show but I think it's best to learn by doing along with instruction.

We're talking about teaching Node.js, but I don't think we've quite got it on the schedule yet. It's definitely something we want to teach, though.

Alan Johnson - It would be really cool if you had a complete web-app track. Something that would cover Node.js MongoDB, Backbone, and some type of test framework. And on the subject of test frameworks, it turns out that writing thorough unit tests is incredibly nontrivial yet almost required for building robust, maintainable code. The problem is that unit testing seems to be something that is tough to find good instruction on. Does Treehouse have any plans to develop some classes on unit testing? (sorry to hijack the thread)

not hijacking, merely adding to the suggestions. Treehouse does an excellent job at providing content and I know as a former tutor that this type of quality output takes time and there are a million different requests from all ends of the spectrum, but I'd like to see this type of track as well. Maybe in 2015? Overall very pleased with this site and recommend it on the daily to aspiring coders and designers.

It's absolutely our intent to do much more than a single course on Node.js. I don't think it'd be right for us to do anything but a full track on working with it, and that's why it's taking us longer to figure out when and how to do it
