Anyone here interest with Hybrid Apps ?

The topic about hybrid apps is rising, some framework like ionic and angular is getting popular...

what do you think about this ? is there specific reason why treehouse does not cover this 'technology' ?

Thanks

Hi,

I had to google the "Hybrid App" term to understand what it is. I don't know why Treehouse is not teaching Hybrid App development at this time. Maybe in the future, they will. Your question is a good one. The idea to design an app to work on many systems does save time and money. See the link on what is Hybrid Mobile App, click on the url (http://developer.telerik.com/featured/what-is-a-hybrid-mobile-app/).

I'm definitely interested in the topic, but I'm not ready for it yet. I'd love to have a course covering the topic when I reach that point.

Yes.. Ionic+Angular+Cordova is a best match for a 'native'-like apps... take a look here http://showcase.ionicframework.com/ , General user will not likely aware that HTML+CSS+JS is the platform who serve the UI/UX... so for web developer we don't have to step in into swift/objective-c OR java. At least there are alternatives for Web Developer to "tap-in" mobile development in more easy way.... Of course, in term of flexibility and performance, Native Apps does win (at this moment, who knows in the future)..
