Anyone know why my (older) version of Xcode stops showing the output on the right partway down the page?

Around line 45 the output stops being generated, but the playground is giving me appropriate error messages further down the page on the left. I'm running Xcode version 6.4 and can't upgrade further on my current computer...wondering whether this is why?

Typically, if you're getting a compilation error or some other code error in Playgrounds, your code will stop executing and thus--there won't be any output. By resolving the errors the Playground is complaining about, you should be able to get normal output.

I have a worse problem, where Xcode keeps building and building but never ends. I tried deleting and reinstalling it, but it didn't help. The case seems not to be common online.
