Apache couldn't be started?

When I try to start MAMP it gives me an error message saying apache couldn't be started and to check my configuration or installation. I've tried changing the ports, and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Very confused why this isn't working.

Thanks!

When I start MAMP, it asks me for my password. This is your ADMIN password for your Mac (the one used for login). Apache needs this password for permissions. I'm not sure if your being asked or not...

I was asked for my password and put it in. Then I tried going to local host in a web browser and I'm getting the "it works" page but for some reason MAMP just can't start apache. I'm very new to this so I feel like I'm missing something but I'm very unsure how to get around this issue.

Hey Connor,

Without sitting in front of your computer, this is a tough one to troubleshoot. I've never had a problem with Apache starting up in MAMP, so I really don't have ideas as to what could be wrong. Could be a firewall issue in your Mac's security settings, but I'm just not really sure.

Try giving this Workshop at look at (it's only 7 minutes). It goes a bit more in depth and in detail about installing MAMP.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. If you still don't get it solved. Give Stack Overflow a shot with you problem. :) :dizzy:
