Array item not displaying when code looks normal.

Code looks normal, should be displaying, though saying an array item can not be seen.

index.php
<?php
  $movie = [
    "title" => "The Empire Strikes Back",
    "year" => "1980",
    "director" => "Irvin Kershner",
    "imdb_rating" => "8.8",
    "imdb_ranking" => "11"
  ];
?>

<h1><?php echo $movie["title"]." ". $movie["year"]; ?></h1>

<table>
  <tr>
    <th>Director</th>
    <td><?php $movie["director"]; ?></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <th>IMDB Rating</th>
    <td><?php $movie["imdb_rating"]; ?></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <th>IMDB Ranking</th>
    <td><?php $movie["imdb_ranking"]; ?></td>
  </tr>
</table>

  1. There are two options of array declaration in PHP 1. array() and 2. [], it may not be the problem in your case.
  2. Array values can be of different types in PHP, so you can go ahead and put "imdb_rating" => 8.8(float) and "imdb_ranking => 11(integer) , I think you get it :)
  3. Did you forget to replace <th> tag words??? <?php echo $movie[2]; ?> <?php echo $movie[3]; ?> <?php echo $movie[4]; ?>. Automatic indexing of the associative array keys. Also you could manipulate the string contents using some string built-in functions. See php.net.

You're missing echo statements in the table cells, otherwise worked fine.
