2,372 PointsAt a complete loss
After trying to get through the Swift tutorials and acquiring a thousand points, I felt I was really not learning anything as I would find myself at a complete loss when next challenge would come up. So I’d query the community to find an answer, say “Aha” then copy paste. I tried reaching out to Treehouse support and was explicitly told there is no actual support only community.
As the realization became overwhelming apparent that I was not learning much of anything, I went back and restarted the Treehouse tutorials over and over again, while taking trips around the universe to research the Swift documentation, Big Nerd Ranch and Udemy only to continually realize the cluelessness I had, of trying to understand the very basics of what the Treehouse tutorials were trying to teach.
Of course at this point no matter how much you review or challenges you pass, you see your momentum at zero everyday as your prompted to keep it up! Even though zero is zero. The bottom line is I’m not getting anywhere with this so, I’m asking for help.

9,561 PointsDear Bob,
Let me assure you that almost every person here has been exactly where you are. It is almost unavoidable to feel like you are stuck when learning such complex things. Don't be so hard on yourself, though. You took initiative to learn something and you're doing it. That's commendable no matter how much you've learned so far.
I took a look at your profile and saw that most of what you learned here spanned across about a week. That is a lot of new information to consume in one week, to be honest with you. I would encourage you to take your time with each of these topics. The most important thing you can do for yourself when trying to learn something is to identify the best way to learn and retain the information. If you feel it's not working for you, there are adjustments that can be made to improve that.
Try not to look at this as you needing to get through as many courses as you can so that you can get to the finish line, but instead tell yourself to only move to the next topic when you feel confident that you have solidified the info. These videos are short and leave a lot up to you. So, go spend some time playing with a new concept in the Playground or by building a simple app before you move on to the next thing.
I hope this is helpful for you. Trust me when I tell you we've all been here. It's hard, but it's extremely rewarding when you stick with it and start to see the progress.
Best,
