Attribute selector changes automatically to class and id selectors?

Hi, At around 6:00 minutes into this video I saw Guil delete the attribute selectors and replace them with a '.' and '#' for class and id. It was so fast, I was wondering if he was using some special package I could download that would make CSS selectors appear faster. Maybe it was just his lightning typing. Thanks.

If you highlight text and type, whatever you have highlighted will be replaced with what you type. That is all he is doing.
