CSS CSS Selectors Going Further with Attribute Selectors and Pseudo-Classes Substring Matching Attribute Selectors - "Begins With" and "Ends With"

background-image: url('') question

Why is it background-image: url('../img/icn-pdf.svg') and not background-image: url(/img/icn-pdf.svg')?

The source files are in the img folder, like the style.css is in the CSS folder. Yet the path to the css stylesheet via the index.html file is "css/style.css".

Aren't they both moving 1 level?

Hi, its because you are working in CSS file thats in w CSS FOLDER whether index.html is located in a root folder. If all files will be located in same folder, you don't have to move back. Hope it helps.
