Basic CSS Background Syntax

I'm trying to complete the intro to web design, and I'm setting the background color to a texture with a fallback. This is what I have, but it's not working. Ideas?

background-color: #420600, url('img/texture.png') repeat;

Try removing the comma after the hex value.

sorry about the three-peat.

Hi Ian,

You can also use the shorthand property instead, and set it up as background:(leaving out color).

The shortest path to working code would be to take out "-color" and the comma after the hex color.

#myDiv { background: #420600 url('img/texture.png') repeat; }

Or

#myDiv {
background-color: #420600;
background-image: url('img/texture.png');
background-repeat: repeat;
}

Thanks guys!
