Basic Java Error - HELP

This is the error that appears in my console.

TreeStory.java:23: error: reached end of file while parsing } ^ 1 error

How can I fix this?

That error happens when you don't nest your curly braces correctly and are missing an end brace. Can you post your code so we can see where the mistake is?

You have a curly brace to close the main() method but you need an extra curly brace at the end to close the class.

public class TreeStory {

  public static void main(String[] args) {
    Console console = System.console();
    // etc...
  }  // this ends main()
} // this ends TreeStory
