Courses Plus Student 30,909 PointsBefore you take this course
I just finished this course. You should know, it is not up to Treehouse standards. You will notice as you go along, other students who feel the same way. The fact that some of these comments are six months old, leads me to believe this course will not be improved upon. It is very hard to follow along and in general, very confusing. I suggest taking the free course at http://www.codecademy.com/ and skipping this one.

20,623 PointsI agree they should take another shot at angular...Jim Hoskins workshop on using angularjs with api's was actually more clear than the course was. He would be a good one to redo the course.

20,623 PointsThe issue with the course is that it skips to some very advanced topics in angular very quickly...After going through the codecademy courses and codeschool course and coming back to this one it becomes a lot more clear what he is trying to teach and the course is actually very useful but I agree this course was poorly done and needed about 5 stages in between some of the videos to establish a better base before going on to the advanced topics.

20,907 PointsI think they should take an approach similar to that taken in Ember.js
The Ember.js course was AMAZING! (aside from now being out-of-date)
Mainly, seeing the technology put to use (in, say, a blog using ember) is way easier to put the pieces together just hearing it verbally.

30,028 PointsI completely agree with everything said here so far. I'd really like to know more about Angular but when I took the Angular course at Treehouse it was completely over my head and so I just gave up on it. I did the Code Academy course and it was a lot better structured and made a lot more sense. I really wish Treehouse would try again with Angular and make it more like the Node courses that we've seen so far.
