Best alternative places to ask a question outside of Treehouse?

I'm stuck with a question and I don't expect an answer soon. As an alternative, what are the top 5 places you're using to post your questions, errors, bugs and code to get feedback?

Thanks, Robert

try stackoverflow. For example, someone was getting a similar sounding error here . In that instance, the message seemed to obscure a more meaningful message in the logs.

I think the definitive resource is stackoverflow.

I don't have a top 5, I rarely look anywhere else.

But if you're talking about your Wordpress question, doesn't Wordpress have their own forum?

Thanks, I'll have a look at both Stackoverflow and the Wordpress forum.

Teamtreehouse is actually pretty good place to get answers. People here are very knowledgeable. You can always try pagging our instructors here. They have way more life experience than any of us.

Thanks, I was looking for a "personal invite" when I asked the question (similar to Quora). I could only ask it to the proposed people. How do you suggest to ask for help from the instructors?

You use the @ sign.

I asked Zac Gordon, but his profile says that he was the WP teacher. Who is the new one that I can invite?

If the question is about css then css-tricks forum is a good place to ask the question.

Thanks

Currently on the Web Design Track. If I need an answer right away, I use stackoverflow or Quora. If it is a question that can wait, using the Treehouse Forum is definitely my go-to.

Thanks

I personally use Reddit a lot. There are tons of smart people and each topic has its own subreddit. I use learnpython, learnprogramming, webdev, and a few others.

Thanks, joined the webdev chat via reddit/carrot.
