Best Language to Perform Basic Calculations

What language is best for a user input data into a form, post that data to a server, have that server perform basic calculations (addition and multiplication) then return user input along with the calculated values?

When would one use JAVAScript vs Python vs Ruby vs any other server side language?

If you're looking for a server side language, remember that javascript is not server side - it's client side.

Pretty much all languages share exactly the same maths operators and capabilities. It's all just 1's and 0's :)

it's not so much about the language used - a language is just a tool - but more about structure and method. Try them all and see which one you prefer ;)
