Hi. I am taking taking front-end-dev and would like a recommendation for the best way to learn on tree house. Are the lessons and exercises enough or do people craft a portfolio with their own code on "workspaces" right away?
Thanks.

Courses Plus Student 20,157 PointsI found that the best way to learn is to start with a Track, in your case it will be 'Front-End-Development Track' - which you can find here:
Then, Workspaces are NOT there to craft a portfolio,
1st: it's simply there to help you follow along with the course (step-by-step) you are currently doing.
2nd: You can fiddle around with code found in projects, and experiment with the code to enhance your learning.
I hope this helps you.

33,856 PointsHi Dmitriy, while you can take the development track first, I'd recommend taking the more basic Web Design track for starters.

11,483 PointsI just started Front End Development track, I think that you should do Web Design track first; I'm reading this book (https://cdn.tutsplus.com/net/uploads/legacy/1052_best_way_to_learn_js/eloquent.png) at the same time that I'm doing the track, pretty useful.
