12,035 PointsBest way to learning PHP on treehouse?
So I've just started learning PHP on treehouse. I thought that going on the PHP development track would be the best route. However I notice information like set up was missing and found that strange a treehouse is usually good with them things.
So I looked about and found another PHP project called Build a Simple PHP Application in the treehouse library. For someone like me with no knowledge of PHP prior what do you think is the best one to start or should I just have a go?
Just getting confused as I would have thought the PHP development track would be the best route?

23,118 PointsI would start by watching PHP basics and functions, also learn MySQL as well, in the databases library. They are making a new build a simple site with PHP lesion so I would hold off on that and a new MySQL as well. SO I would learn PHP basics up to OOP PHP and that should be enough until the new courses become active.

23,118 PointsIt's totally important, But there is a transition from two teachers for the PHP course, so its a workshop as of now, it should be a course on its own, and probably will be at some point. also I think to learn PHP from the beginning most people are going to use workspaces for a while and you don't need to set up PHP on workspaces. There is a pretty visible workshop for both mac and pc so I think for now that is good enough. Besides There are three tracks that use PHP on Treehouse, so its kind of all over the place because its PHP and most of the web runs it.
