Booleans and False Else conditions

They're both showing as false in the variables. I've changed the value of the variables to true, i've added false to the condition, and I'm still getting a syntax error. Not sure of what else to do. HELP!!

var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');

I see where my error is! aside from adding the else condition I added the () when it didn't need to be there!

You should be adding an 'else' branch to the existing if statement.
