Both Emulator and Genymotion on my laptop are very slow. Can this be because of my machine config?

My machine's configuration is: Memory 1.8 GB, Intel Pentium(R) CPU 2020M @2.4GHZ*2, OS type 64 bit, DIsk 484 GB (of which over 350 is free). How can I improve performance of Genymotion (It took more than 1 hour to run and every other application got stuck)

Prasoon;

Welcome to Treehouse!

Derek Etnyre is right on the money. 1.8 GB of RAM is very low for Android emulation. I bumped mine from 4 to 8GB and wish I could go higher.

Happy coding,
Ken

Suspect you need more memory. Go to Task Manager And Check CPU and Memory Usage.
