I have a sneaking suspicion you're not smiling at the moment, so let's see if we can change that.
Try putting your media query at the bottom. Having it at the top sets the h1 to 2.5em on devices 480px or wider, but then a little further down the sheet in your base styles you tell the css to set the size of the h1 to 1.75em, which will override the existing h1 font-size code even if it is in a media query.
This code will work, and on the plus side, you coded it properly, except for where you placed it.
