HTML

broken image link ... can't figure out the directory (or something) or the life of me..

Looked at the forum but I can't get an image to show up. My folder is organized as such: Desktop\HTML_CSS\img\logo.gif

And my index.html is in the HTML_CSS folder.

My code is img src="img/logo.gif" alt="Smells Like Bakin"

With <> obviously.

Any ideas? Thank you!

What browser are you using? I have found that certain browsers, IE in particular, don't handle relative links very well when the files are on your local hard drive. FireFox and Chrome are fine though.

Also, see the link below for how to include code in your posts:

Sarah the most important part when working with any files is organization. Make it as easy as possible for you and the search engine to find the files. My suggestion is create a folder on your desktop and name it Bakin. Your root file is the index.html just save it to that folder. Then inside the Bakin folder create a css folder and the third folder inside the Bakin folder should be img for all images related to your project. Make sure that you use the same name on the folder and the link. Hope this will help.
